Hi! I'm Rich Lindvall and our family moved to [WWW]Corvallis in 1994. Before that we lived in [WWW]Davis, California for seven years. And before that, we worked with [WWW]Wycliffe Bible Translators for eight years, Rich in [WWW]Colombia and [WWW]Papua New Guinea and Kristy in [WWW]Malaysia. Upon first arriving in Corvallis we rented a house on NW Alta Vista. A year later we were able to purchase some acreage [WWW]out in the country near [WWW]Wren with my folks. Here, our last two children were born—at home. Our children have mostly been homeschooled, but are now in the [WWW]Philomath School District. I've also driven schoolbus for [WWW]Philomath (First Student) for three years. For several years I drove for Anthony's Airporter and currently for [WWW]HUT Shuttle. We love it here in [WWW]Oregon!

Over the years we've done a lot of reaching out to international students at [WWW]OSU. Much of this was through programs of the [WWW]English Language Institute and [WWW]Crossroads. At times I've even met some of these students on my shuttle when they first arrived at [WWW]PDX.

We currently attend [WWW]Faith Christian Fellowship. It's really been a special place for us with many good friends who share our love for the Lord.

Kristy and I now have five children: Micah, Ruthie, Karis, Marnie, & Ellis. In 2007 Micah married Olisa and on August 3rd Caitlin Lilian joined our family! We're grandparents! God is good—all the time! If you ever feel like a foreigner in the land, remember that [WWW]we are not home yet! And we know [WWW]the best is yet to come! Thank you, [WWW]Jesus!

May the Lord bless you!

Rich (& for Kristy, Micah & Olisa (& Caitlin), Ruthie, Karis, Marnie & Ellis)

2007-08-13 03:44:58   Hey there! Most wikis exclude the 'wiki' part of the short name because it's implied in 'wikispot'. Do you want corvalliswiki renamed to 'corvallis?' (I can do it for you) If you have any questions or get snagged on anything, leave a comment over on the wikispotFAQ or wikispotCommunity Discussion pages. Welcome to Wiki Spot! Best, —wikispotUsers/PhilipNeustrom (okay, i changed it over)

2007-08-15 07:46:44   By the way, having multiple Events Board pages won't work right now — each will show all of the events. You should just keep a single page named Events Board for the time being. —wikispotUsers/PhilipNeustrom

2007-08-19 22:08:57   Are there front page templates for new wiki administrators, such as one for local wikis and another for common interest wikis? Or do we just modify what we see others doing? (I've noticed that some new admins don't seem to know how to change the name on their wiki—I only found out by accident. Yikes! I'd better study this more! —RichLindvall

2007-09-03 03:56:58   Hey Rich, just a note that you'll need to replace the "layout.css" file with the layout-pastle.css file on the wikispotThemes page (you just replaced the style.css file), and remove the Page icons (edit, info, etc) in the Images settings area for the theme to look polished. —PhilipNeustrom

2007-09-25 06:10:28   I'm glad I could help out with your wiki. Admittedly, I was not homeschooled. However, I do have an interest in mathematics and science education and I hope that I can productively contribute in those areas. —WilliamLewis

2007-10-13 03:11:47   Hey Rich, remember to delete the three remaining page icons on Wiki Settings/Images — see Immanuel Lutheran Church for an example of it looking funky without them deleted :) —PhilipNeustrom
